A formwork and construction flooring company based in Northern Ireland approached Sheppex to arrange finance for a new Somero S-485.
The rationale behind this acquisition was to decrease subcontracted labour costs, effectively reducing the requirement of five labourer’s working to level and finish poured concrete.
The 3-metre-wide hydraulic head on the S-485, which can laser level 8.1m² of concrete on one pass, meant the business could take on large scale projects and at a quicker rate (increasing productivity by 20% – Somero), while reducing labour costs and improving profitability.
The ride on screed, with its high-quality finish, enabled our client to bid for, and win, contracts requiring a higher finish of concrete, tolerances up to FM1, the highest tolerance level for industrial concrete floors.

Funding arranged for a business specialising in high end, high finish, maximum tolerance concreting formwork and flooring for industrial uses.
There was a specific demand for a laser screed with extendable boom (up to 7.62m) and a 14’ head width.
The S-28EZ offered this and more, with 360° machine rotation, self-cleaning heads, rear camera and remote control.
The company previously paid cash for some of its CAPEX purchases, but with rising operational costs, including fuel and raw materials, made the decision to preserve cashflow and a tailormade finance proposal was put together, including a low 5% deposit.

Competitive finance arranged for an established piling contractor specialising in soil remediation, drilling piles, geotechnical drilling and ground exploration & reporting.
Its existing 2014 piling rig required a new filter one in every three jobs, costing £1,000 in parts each time, excluding hiring costs and costs incurred in machine downtime.
Replacing it with a newer 2020 model allowed the company to support ongoing WIP and reduce extensive maintenance and downtime costs.

A UK renewable energy installer came to us for help arranging finance for the ex-demonstration Casagrande they’d had on hire for nine months, at a cost of £10,000 per month.
After securing several large contracts, acquisition of the remote-controlled drilling rig, which had only completed 138 hours, made sound financial sense.

Based in Cardiff, our client, originally a soil recycling centre, diversified its portfolio into a larger waste disposal and recycling centre for aggregates, soil and other potentially contaminated waste.
The business required a new MDS Trommel to join its fleet for the aggregate recycling facility, to assist the production line of recycled soils.
The Trommel, supplied by Red Knight 6, rotates the soil, in the increased capacity 100mm drum, to break clumps and clayed soil sections into uniform size, allowing it to be wet processed and distributed.

An existing client, a leading concrete contractor, specialising in the pumping of concrete for a wide variety of civil engineering uses, asked Sheppex to arrange funding for a new mobile pump.
The company operated two old mobile pumps, and wanted to replace the older of the two, which had over 5,000 pumping hours and 300km of mileage. This machine had started to become inefficient and costly to run and maintain.
The new pump with its longer boom reach (37m reach) has enabled the business to expand the scope of jobs they can complete

Finance arranged for a London-based piling and groundworks company with a requirement for a new mixer to add to their existing fleet.
The DAF truck with two extension chutes, 350 litre water tank and wash down hoses, enabled our client to fulfill their clients’ needs.
