- Funding arranged for a company based in the North West of England providing stonemasonry architectural services to the construction industry. Specialising in new builds, exteriors, conservation and restoration work, the business provides a complete ‘start-to-finish’ service.
- The company is consistently involved in the repair and conservation of a wide range of Grade I and II listed buildings, serving prestigious clients.
- Over the past 13 years, Sheppex has placed a number of finance agreements for our client, so have developed a firm understanding of the business and its workings.
- As a result of growing demand, the company built a new production unit and approached us to arrange the funding required to fit it out and update some of the equipment and processes.
- The new equipment purchase provides our client with the ability to produce intricate shaping of sandstone products more efficiently. Prior to the acquisition, much of this type of work was produced on semi-automatic machines or by hand, which incurred costly stone mason costs.
- Not only did the new machines replace some outdated technology, they allowed the company to control fixed costs (reducing overtime costs), whilst securing their growth targets.

- Investment finalised for a specialist in the natural stone industry, based in the North West.
- The company needed to purchase a replacement truck, as their existing lorry was c15 years old and had started to incur regular maintenance and repair costs.
- The finance arranged by Sheppex resulted in a lower monthly payment in comparison to renting a vehicle of the same specification would cost, while also offering the business a long-term asset.
- The purchase enabled our client to fulfill multiple secured contracts and to drive business growth.

- A fabricator of granite, marble and quartz based in the South East had a requirement to replace their two bridge saws with a new Genya model Breton CNC Bridge Saw, renowned for its ability to cut kitchen worktops and claddings.
- In addition, the company took the opportunity to purchase an additional Breton CNC Contouring Machine. The chosen Fotre model is capable of running at 50% more throughput, thereby reducing machine operator salaries and overtime costs.
- Having worked with the business since 2014, Sheppex was well positioned to arrange the tailormade financial package.
- The new machines allowed the company to expand production capacity while lowering staffing costs. An additional benefit was the reduction in electricity costs, as the new technology is more energy efficient. Moreover, the two machines replaced two older ones, providing extra production space and enhancing workflow efficiency within the factory.
